Room 13 is a child led art studio in the heart of our school. Children from all over the school come together to share experiences together through art.
The Room 13 studio facilitates the work of young artists alongside a professional adult Artist in Residence, providing an exchange of ideas, skills and experience across the ages. In Room 13, children are encouraged to take the lead, be creative, and to think for themselves. This very simple idea has been embraced by people all over the world, giving rise to a movement that places art and creativity at the heart of learning.
The Artists in Residence at The Mill is Janey Moffatt. She is a multi media artist who enjoys working with film and video, printmaking and sculpture.
From 3D printing, dark room photography and tie-dying - our children experience all forms of creativity.
