Pupil Voice
At The Mill, we value what our pupils tell us and use this to inform how we can improve as a school. Through our school council and weekly class council meetings we listen to the children. We have created Room 13, a child led art studio, The Miller's Cafe and a reading wagon based on pupil voice we’ve received.
Here is what some of our pupils have to say about their school:
“The teachers work really hard to plan learning for us that improves our bravery and confidence” Chloe, age 10
“Everyone is kind here. We live by our motto ‘Forever Proud’ which means we always try to make actions and show behaviour that we are proud of” Issac, age 9
“Teachers take really good care of us here and that makes me really happy” Praise, age 6
“I’m proud of the positivity that surrounds us and is inside of our school. We celebrate everyone here from wellbeing ambassadors to our choir and Room 13 committee”. Gabby, age 10
“No matter who are you, where you come from or how long you’ve been in our school, we will always show you kindness and respect”Edie, age 8
“My favourite time of the week is smiling at my friends when they get a Forever Proud certificate in assembly” Steven, age 7
“I really like how we get behind everyone here. We have loads of opportunities to succeed and do well and the teachers help us to see what we are capable of”Dylan, age 11
